About the Founder and Designer
Larisa Jovteac is an American jewelry designer of Bulgarian, Greek, and Italian heritage, and the founder of Lariany. Her multicultural background informs a design philosophy rooted in connection, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
Larisa holds a B.B.A. in Business Management from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York City. She spent over a decade working across Human Resources and Onboarding functions, developing a deep understanding of structure, process, and human connection—skills that now underpin the thoughtful foundations of her brand.
Her creative journey began early. Larisa completed four years of formal art training at a children’s art school in Moldova and has continued drawing, painting, and sketching throughout her life. Art has always been a constant—first as personal expression, later as a design language.
In 2025, she completed a Jewelry Design program with IAP Career College and furthered her education through coursework with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
Larisa launched Lariany in November 2025 with the vision of creating a distinctive fine jewelry brand—one that speaks across cultures and transforms personal heritage into modern, wearable art.

Beyond form, the braid has long symbolized personal expression, cultural connection, strength of spirit, and the unity of mind and body.
